Parker County sheriff's deputies said a 2-year-old boy drowned in a backyard pool Monday night.
Emergency crews were called to a home in the 4800 block of Pioneer Trail in Weatherford, where they said they found the boy — later identified as Hunter Jackson — facedown in the pool.
Crews performed CPR on the child, but he was pronounced dead at Weatherford Regional Medical Center just after 7 p.m.
No other details about the drowning have been released.
