Authorities say a 15-year-old boy has been arrested after a 16-year-old boy who had been shot was found dead in Victoria.
The Victoria Advocate reports Victoria Police Chief J.J. Craig said at a news conference that officers found Jeremiah Hernandez's body in a field Saturday night.
Craig says that early Saturday morning officers responded to apartments about a disturbance, where witnesses told them a juvenile shot a 16-year-old in a truck and then fled in the vehicle with the victim.
Craig said that later Saturday morning, officers arrested the 15-year-old at apartments about 13 miles (21 kilometers) away. He was taken to the Victoria County Juvenile Detention Center and held on charges of murder and tampering with physical evidence. He isn't being identified because of his age.
