A single story house on the 9200 block of Markanne Drive in Dallas caught fire Monday morning. [[327402561,C]]
The family said the fire started inside the garage where they were charging a car battery at about 6:45 a.m.
The fire then spread into the attic before overtaking the home.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire before it spread to any other houses.
No one was injured in the fire.
