HEB Grocery Recalls Snack Packs

The H-E-B supermarket chain has issued a statewide voluntary recall of its H-E-Buddy snack packs containing peanut butter dip.

A statement issued Sunday by the San Antonio-based chain said the recall is "only a precaution." It says the peanut butter in the dip was supplied by Peanut Corp. of America, which is associated with a national salmonella outbreak.

The statement says H-E-B customers have not reported any illnesses.

The products covered by the recall are:

- H-E-Buddy Celery with Peanut Butter, UPC 41220-29701, expiration dates Jan. 16-18 and Jan. 20-22.
- H-E-Buddy Apples with Peanut Butter, UPC 41220-98734, expiration dates Jan. 16, Jan. 18-23 and Jan. 25-26.
- H-E-Buddy Snack Tray with two dips, UPC 41220-54449, expiration dates Jan. 16-17, Jan. 29, and Jan. 21-22.
