Collin County Hosts Free H1N1 Clinic Saturday

Collin County will host a free H1N1 swine flu vaccination clinic this Saturday.

This Saturday, Collin County Health Care Services and Collin County Homeland Security will offer free vaccinations  between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Anna High School. The school is located at 1201 North Powell Parkway.

The clinic is being held in conjunction with National Influenza Vaccination Week, which runs from Jan. 10-16.

Walk-ins will be welcome and the clinic is open to anyyone.

Between April and mid-November 2009, there were approximately 47 million cases of 2009 H1N1 flu, more than 200,000 hospitalizations, and nearly 10,000 deaths, according to Collin County Homeland Security.

Free vaccines are also being given out at any one of 68 locations partnering with Collin County Health Care Services. For further information regarding local H1N1 vaccine availability, visit the Collin County Web site at www.co.collin.tx.us

The Northwest Independent School District has partnered with the Tarrant County Health Department to bring Northwest ISD families a free H1N1 flu immunization clinic this Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Sendera Ranch Elementary School. The school is located at 1216 Diamond Back Lane in Haslet.
