The Will Rogers Memorial Center and the Fort Worth Convention Center will furlough 79 employees beginning May 16.
The employees are all part of the city's Public Events Department.
The city has seen revenue dip in travel and tourism.
Those employees will keep their heath benefits while off the job until the furlough is anticipated to last til July 31.
