Coldplay's latest, "Viva La Vida" is posed to make our top list of albums this year and after having seen Chris Martin and company play live years ago (a concert that makes our top 5 all-time concert list, too) we can say without hesitation that this is the show we're most excited about tonight. Q-Tip founded A Tribe Called Quest back in the late '80s and still ocassionally plays with those pioneering rappers. His latest release "The Renaissance" is getting great reviews around the 'net and his collaborations with artists like Lupe Fiasco, Common, and The Chemical Brothers has shown off his MC skills in between releases...so yeah, you've probably heard him. CLOSEST THING TO DAVE MATTHEWS IN DFW TONIGHT
Tim Reynolds has played along side Dave Matthews for years. Heck, they even knew each other before DMB started up. If you've been into the live albums DMB has released, you've almost certainly heard Reynolds' guitar. Reynolds' own band, TR3, strums at the Granada at 9:00 pm. with Toubab Krewe supporting. MURS is a TV host, prolific rapper, and really smart guy. Instead of rapping about all the money and fame, he's sptting his own brand of truth-telling reality-based lyrics that don't mind making fun of the rap game, nor calling out the problems of the world.
