Man Wanted in Double Murder Arrested

He was arrested on Friday

Dallas Police have arrested a man after two people were found dead inside a home in the 2600 block of Belknap Avenue.

55-year-old Patrick Douglas Johnson was arrested at 4:50 p.m. on Friday, Decemeber 21, for a double murder that took place on Thursday.

Johnson was transported to Dallas Police Headquarters where he declined to give a statement to homicide detectives.

He has been taken to the Dallas County jail where he has been charged with capital murder. 

BACKGROUND | 

Officers were dispatched to a welfare check call at 11:39 a.m. Thursday, December 20, on the 2600 block of Belknap Avenue. When they arrived, they met with a witness, after which they made entry into the residence.

Once inside, officers found two deceased individuals, one black male and one black female, due to homicidal violence.
