A sport-utility vehicle slammed head-on into a tractor trailer east of Ada, killing the driver of the SUV.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 56-year-old Robert Jent of Richardson, Texas, was taken to an Ada hospital, where he died.
The patrol says Jent was westbound on State Highway 3 just before 11 a.m. Tuesday when his 2007 GMC Yukon crossed the center line and slammed into a 2001 Kenworth tractor trailer.
Jent was pinned inside the wreckage for an hour before firefighters freed him.
The driver of the big rig wasn't injured.
