Sangria Tapas y Bar Adds To Menu

Tapas, tapas, tapas

Tiny plates of food and pitchers of wine punch are best when shared together. In Spain tapas are generally eaten while standing at the bar. But this is Texas, where it’s common to overhear someone say, β€œI just want to sit on a patio, have a bite to eat and throw back some drinks.”

SangrΓa Tapas y Bar is just the place. Since opening in March a couple years ago, this quaint restaurant on Cole Avenue has kept its patio pretty much packed any day of the week.

Executive Chef Mariano Fernandez is holding down his foodie fort with new additions to the Sangria menu. Expect traditional dishes from southern Spain such as: braised oxtail, paella de mariscos, cazuela and fried eggplant with pisto manchengo.

The beauty of Sangria is that it’s not a gut-busting experience, unless of course you don’t like to share or can’t say no to tasty rounds of sangria. Their sangria is neither too sweet nor watered down and packs a punch your kisser will enjoy.
