No sooner did current Bears coach Lovie Smith proclaim his fealty to Barack Obama than former Bears coach Mike Ditka showed up on the campaign trail in Pennsylvania with Sarah Palin.
Ditka considered running against Obama for the U.S. Senate back in 2004, CNN recalled earlier this month.
“Could I have beaten him? Maybe. Maybe not,” Ditka said.
Meanwhile former Bears coach Dave Wannstedt, now coaching Pitt, is rumored to believe that Bob Barr has all the pieces in place.
