Wylie Parents Indicted After 4 Kids Test Positive for Cocaine

A Wylie couple face child endangerment charges after a drug test showed their four children were exposed to cocaine.Jamal Grant, 24, and Taela Yates, 23, were indicted Tuesday on four counts of abandoning or endangering a child, Wylie police said.Their four children, all under the age of 15, have been placed in state custody.Police were first called to the family's home on Starpointe Lane in January after reports of child neglect.Coordinating with state Child Protective Services, police went to the home and found the children and their parents, all of whom tested positive for exposure to cocaine.The couple was arrested May 3, and they were indicted this week, police said."The children are currently safe and have been placed into CPS custody," police said Wednesday.  Continue reading...
