Woman, Passenger Survive After Car Is Crushed Under 18-wheeler in Southeast Oak Cliff

A woman's car had to be put open to get her out Tuesday afternoon after it became wedged under an 18-wheeler in southeast Oak Cliff, officials said. Dallas Fire-Rescue was called about 5 p.m. to Interstate 20 and South Lancaster Road where the black vehicle was pinned under the 18-wheeler, spokesman Jason Evans said. Bystanders had reportedly managed to pull a passenger out before first responders arrived, but firefighters had cut the vehicle open to extricate the driver, he said. Both people were taken to local hospitals with injuries not thought to be life threatening, Evans said. The driver of the 18-wheeler was uninjured.   Continue reading...
