Why George H.W. Bush Is #thankful

Among the things former President George H.W. Bush is thankful for this holiday season: a full head of hair. Not his own, rather his young friend Patrick's. Bush on Monday posted an update and picture of himself with the boy, who as a 2-year-old cancer patient in 2013 inspired the former president to shave his head. The child, identified only as Patrick, is the son of a Secret Service agent.Bush reports that Patrick "is feeling and doing much better these days."While the boy was undergoing treatment for leukemia and losing his hair as a result, Bush joined other Secret Service agents in going bald in a show of solidarity.   Continue reading...
