Apartment residents these days expect the landlord to do a lot more than just collect the rent and keep the toilet unblocked.Tenants also want managers to handle thousands of packages sent by online retailers like Amazon and other vendors. So apartment developers are turning to high-tech solutions to handle the flood of parcel deliveries at their projects."You have an apartment community with 300 units and they get about 1,000 packages a month on average," said architect Walter Hughes of Dallas-based Humphreys & Partners, one of the country's top apartment designers.
