West Texas Man Tried to Hide Meth in Cup of Hot Chocolate, Odessa Police Say

A West Texas man has been accused of trying to hide three grams of methamphetamine in a cup of hot chocolate Tuesday, Odessa police said. Officers stopped William Guinan, 51, after they saw him driving an SUV the wrong way just before midnight in the 800 block of Avenue H, The Odessa American reports.They noticed a plastic baggie floating in a cup of hot chocolate in his center console, which had a substance that later tested positive for meth, police said. Guinan told officers that he'd tried to destroy it by putting the baggie in the hot chocolate, The American reports. He was arrested and booked into the Ector County Detention Center on charges of possession of methamphetamine and tampering with physical evidence.  Continue reading...
