An alligator wrangling squad nearly became finger food while trying to capture a rogue gator on a Wood County farm earlier this week.According to Tyler's KLTV-TV, Hawkins homeowner Hal Conover had contacted noted alligator hunter Byron South and his son Tanner after finding the reptile in a pen with his weaning calves.In the six-minute video, posted Monday to YouTube, the gator whips and snaps in the muddy pen as Conover and South - whose hunting renown once led Remington to name a rifle after him - gradually secure it with lassos and anchor the snarling beast to nearby trees and fence posts.
