When spring begins depends on whom you ask.Meteorologists observe March 1 as the first day of spring, while most calendars will tell you the seasons change with the spring equinox, or March 20 this year. But if you ask a phenologist, someone who studies plant and animal life cycles, spring begins when the leaves are out. It’s spring in Dallas-Fort Worth, according to a report by National Phenology Network released on Monday.
