Two North Texas Diagnostic Labs to Be Acquired by Quest Diagnostics

Medical laboratory giant Quest Diagnostics has entered into an agreement to purchase two North Texas labs that analyze cancer tumors, infectious disease and other clinical specimens.Quest on Monday announced plans to acquire Med Fusion and Clear Point, both based in Lewisville. The arrangements are still pending regulatory approval.Financial terms of the deals were not disclosed. Quest, a $1.8 billion corporation based in Madison, N.J., told investors in May that it planned to grow one to two percent this year through acquisitions and by partnering to provide specialty lab services to hospitals and health systems.  Continue reading...
