Two McKinney Middle School Teachers Remain on Job After Posting Anti-gay and anti-Islamic Tweets

McKinney ISD officials said Friday they will take "actions" against two middle school teachers who previously posted ant-Islamic and anti-LGBT tweets, but they declined to provide details about the nature of any such measures, including whether the teachers might be fired.Justin Barton and Mark Russell, who teach at Cockrill Middle School, remain teaching at the school after authorities learned this week about the tweets, which referred to transgender people as having a "mental illness" and called Islam "a satanic death cult."
