TV Anchors Call Texas Senior ‘obnoxious' After He Got 20 Full Ride College Scholarships

Two Fox anchors drew criticism after calling a Texas senior who earned full ride scholarships to all 20 schools he applied to “obnoxious.”Micheal Brown, a 17-year-old senior at Lamar High School in Houston, has been accepted to elite schools like Harvard, Yale, Princeton and his dream school, Stanford.Fox 5 D.C. contributor Sarah Fraser and anchor Holly Morris called applying to 20 schools “ridiculous” during a show last week.“I think it’s obnoxious because you can only go to one,” Morris said. “You can only take one full ride, and you are taking a spot from someone else who worked really hard.”Fraser said that Brown was “taking away a spot” from other students by gaining acceptance to the 20 elite colleges.
