Torchlight Parade Ahead of Texas-OU Game Canceled Because of Charlottesville Violence

UT Austin's torchlight parade, traditionally held before the football team's annual game against Oklahoma University, has been canceled in response to the violence in Charlottesville, Va. in August."We didn't think it was wise to have people carrying tiki torches in light of the events at Charlottesville," Dorothy Guerrero, a spokeswoman for the Texas Exes alumni group told the Austin American-Statesman on Tuesday. "We want this to be a positive event.
