The Chinese Are Taking the Lead From the U.S. on North Korea, and That's a Relief

INCHEON, South Korea -- I was apprehensive about going to a conference on new cities in one of the smartest new cities of all, Incheon, little more than 40 miles from the border of the mad land of Caligulalike leader Kim Jong Un.His advancing nuclear capacities in North Korea grow more ominous by the hour. While I was there, North Korea tested missiles, and though the people I met maintained their preternatural calm, I sensed an anxiety not apparent when I was in nearby Seoul two years ago.Add to that the barbaric treatment of American college student Otto Warmbier, incarcerated by North Korea while traveling there and now dead after unspeakable brutality, and there are reasons to be worried.  Continue reading...
