Teen Arrested After Threat to Rowlett High School

A 16-year-old boy was arrested Saturday and accused of threatening to commit a mass shooting at Rowlett High School.The boy admitted to sending the threats via Snapchat Feb. 5 and charged with misdemeanor threat to use firearms, punishable by up to 180 days in jail, police spokesman David Nabors said.Rowlett Police and Garland ISD assigned additional officers to patrol the campus while officials investigated the threats last week, according to Nabors."The Rowlett Police Department has zero tolerance towards individuals making threats to students at our schools," Nabors said in a written statement.   Continue reading...
