Taylor Farms Recalls a Half Ton of H-E-B Brand Caesar Salads From Texas Shelves

Taylor Texas Farms Inc. recalled more than a half ton of ready-to-eat Caesar salad with chicken products from H-E-B shelves Tuesday, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.The salads labeled "H.E.B. SHAKE, RATTLE & BOWL CAESAR SALAD with CHICKEN" were misbranded, according to the USDA, and contained anchovies which is a known allergen that was not declared on product labels.In total, the Texas subsidiary of California's Taylor Farms is recalling 1,079 pounds of the product which was produced on May 8. The salads recalled were shipped to stores in Texas and have a "best by" date of May 18, 2018 printed on them.Thus far the USDA says there have not been any reports of adverse reactions to the product, but that anyone experiencing an allergic reaction should contact a healthcare provider.  Continue reading...
