Student Made Up Threat of Gunman at Carrollton Middle School, Police Say

A Carrollton middle-school student has been arrested after authorities say the teen reported a hoax threat at the school.According to Carrollton police, the 14-year-old posted Monday on the Ring Neighbors app that a gunman near Creek Valley Middle School was threatening to "shoot any body in his site."Students were kept in their classrooms at the Lewisville ISD campus while authorities investigated. Police ultimately determined that the post was a hoax.The student, whose identity has not been released because of his or her age, was arrested on a charge of false alarm or report, a state-jail felony.  Continue reading...
