Shuttle Bus Driver Dies After Fight With Another Driver on TCU Campus

A shuttle bus driver has died weeks after he was injured in a fight with another driver that prompted a lockdown at Texas Christian University.David Mitchell, 52, died last week, WFAA-TV (Channel 8) reported. Greg Kish, his family's attorney, told the station Mitchell had head trauma, severe bruising and other injuries from the Nov. 6 incident. Employees of the Roadrunner Shuttle service, which TCU uses, got into an argument about 7 a.m. that led to one firing a shot at the other. The shot missed Mitchell, but the other driver hit him with his shuttle bus as he drove away, Fort Worth police said. The confrontation, which reportedly happened near Amon G. Carter Stadium, prompted an hour-long lockdown at the university. Police arrested Eric Hampton, 52, and charged him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and having a weapon on university property.
