Security Guard Killed at Holiday Inn in Lake Highlands

An elderly security guard was shot and killed early Wednesday morning at a Holiday Inn in Lake Highlands.Dallas police said they responded to a shooting call around 1:15 a.m. at 9089 Vantage Point Dr. and when they arrived they found the security guard dead near the entrance of the hotel. They arrested a suspect and recovered a stolen gun at the scene. According to detectives, the suspect got into an altercation with the security guard who asked the suspect to leave the premises. The suspect left but returned with a gun. Another altercation between the suspect and the security guard broke out by the suspect's vehicle in the parking lot and the security guard was fatally shot.  Continue reading...
