A 19-year-old Texas man was swept downstream Sunday while swimming with friends in the Rio Grande River in Big Bend National Park. Rene Cervantes, Jr. was swimming in the river about 1:15 p.m. near the Hot Springs when he was swept away, the park said in a written statement. An inter-agency search was conducted Sunday by boat, helicopter and ground of the Hot Springs Canyon and Boquillas Port of Entry, but Cervantes was not found.
