Say Cheese: Cornyn and Cruz Will Battle Against Arkansas Senators in Queso Competition

WASHINGTON -- Politics can be silly at times, but Sens. John Cornyn and Ted Cruz of Texas will take the cheesiness to a whole new level when they battle against fellow senators in a queso competition on Thursday.The Texas senators will face Sens. Tom Cotton and John Boozman of Arkansas in a blind “taste test” comparing queso to Arkansas-sourced cheese dip, in order to determine which state boasts the more delicious topping.The battle between the senators heated up in November, when Cotton shared a Wall Street Journal article about cheese dip’s increasing popularity in Arkansas.“Arkansas cheese dip > Texas cheese dip,” Cotton tweeted.Cornyn was quick to fire back: “Queso, Tom,” he wrote.  Continue reading...
