Robbers Shoot Father Who Was Getting Child Out of Car Seat in Southeast Dallas

A group of armed robbers shot a man who was getting his child out of a car seat early Tuesday in southeast Dallas, police said. Officers were dispatched about 3:40 a.m. to the 6100 block of Trail Glen Drive, near South Great Trinity Forest Way and Pemberton Hill Road.The man said he was getting his child out of the car seat when someone he didn't know approached him, put a gun to his head and demanded money, Dallas police spokesman DeMarquis Black said. As they started struggling, two other robbers approached the victim and shot at him. The gunmen then ran away, firing rounds at the father as they fled, Black said. Dallas Fire-Rescue took the victim to hospital. He suffered a gunshot wound to the arm. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.  Continue reading...
