Rep. Pete Sessions, Son of the Only Other Fired FBI Chief, Says Comey Deserved Nicer Treatment

WASHINGTON -- Dallas congressman Pete Sessions -- whose father was the only FBI director fired before this week -- said Wednesday that James Comey should have been allowed "to exit in a more gracious way."Comey was caught by surprise by the firing, learning of his ouster from news reports while he was speaking with FBI agents in Los Angeles. President Donald Trump dispatched his personal body guard to deliver the termination letter to FBI headquarters in Washington."I think you treat good people better," Sessions told The Dallas Morning News' editorial page editor.Sessions recalled that his father, William Sessions, was given a chance to resign and chose not to, at which point President Bill Clinton fired him.  Continue reading...
