Plano Accounting Firm to Combine With Chicago Company That's Expanding in Texas

A Plano accounting, tax and advisory firm is combining with a Chicago-based company that's growing its Texas presence.Montgomery Coscia Greilich LLP, the seventh-largest accounting firm in Dallas-Fort Worth, announced Tuesday that it's merging with Baker Tilly Virchow Krause LLP, effective June 1. Terms of the deal weren't disclosed.The merger gives Baker Tilly offices in four of Texas' five largest metropolitan areas: Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin and Houston."MCG is one of the fastest-growing firms in the nation -- a real testament to their progressive culture, innovative approach to business and deep-rooted relationships," said Baker Tilly CEO Alan Whitman in a statement.
