Oak Cliff's Texas Theatre Gets New JFK Historical Marker That Fixes the Record

On the 54th anniversary of its infamous moment in history, Oak Cliff's Texas Theatre installed a new plaque that sets the record straight on what happened there Nov. 22, 1963.After running into a showing of War is Hell without purchasing a ticket, Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested at the theater about an hour and 20 minutes after President John F. Kennedy was shot in Dealey Plaza.A historical marker placed outside the Jefferson Boulevard theater in 2013 said that Oswald "was apprehended inside the auditorium for the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, propelling the Texas Theatre into the international spotlight."  Continue reading...
