Today will feature warm and breezy weather for Dallas - Fort Worth with partly sunny skies. Afternoon thunderstorms will be possible up north near the Red River after 3PM. This line of storms will build down toward DFW by evening. The timing for storm chances in the metroplex looks to be between 6pm and midnight. Some storms could be severe. The primary concern will be for large hail and gusty winds, although a brief tornado cannot be ruled out.A cold front will sweep through overnight, bringing an end to the storms and much cooler air.
