NBC 5 Forecast: Cloudy and Mild Today

Cloudy and mild today with highs near 70. Fog and drizzle will be around through late morning. A Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect for most of the region through 10 a.m. Please be careful when driving this morning and allow plenty of time for your morning commute. After a brief warm-up today, cooler air returns tonight into Thursday behind a cold front. That shallow cold air will get briefly pushed back north on Friday with highs in the upper 60s. The cold air will make a much stronger push to the south Saturday morning. Temperatures will drop into the 40s to near 50 degrees on Saturday. A couple rain showers may develop Saturday, but we will have to watch Sunday as the cold air continues to move into the area and a storm system moves across the Southern Plains. There is a chance for a few rain showers on Sunday mixing with and changing over to a little sleet and snow. This is still several days away and the forecast WILL change between now and the weekend, so please check back for updates.Additional freezes look to be on the way for us Monday morning through Wednesday morning next week too.
