Murphy Police Search for Suspects Who Fired on 7-11 Clerk During Robbery

Murphy police are searching for two men they say are armed and dangerous after they robbed a convenience store Sunday night.The two confronted a store clerk at a 7-11 in the 1000 block of North Murphy Road and demanded money, police said. After they left, one suspect turned and fired in the direction of the clerk but didn't hit the employee.A similar robbery was reported in Garland on Jan. 4 at the Homeboy's store in the 2500 block of Firewheel Parkway. Police believe both robberies were committed by the same suspects.The suspects are described as Hispanic men. The shooter wore a Navy blue hoodie and black jeans and covered his face with a gray cloth, police said.He appeared to be carrying a semi-automatic handgun.The second suspect was dressed in all-black clothing, including a black hoodie-style sweatshirt and hid his face with a red cloth.
