Man Wanted on Murder Charge After Police Say He Fatally Shot 60-year-old in Old East Dallas

Authorities are looking for a man accused of fatally shooting a 60-year-old man Friday in Old East Dallas.Police got an arrest warrant Monday for Dexter Collins, 29. He is wanted for murder in the death of Rickey Craver, who was found shot multiple times Friday afternoon at an apartment building at 1430 Bennett Ave.Craver died at a hospital, police said.Collins and Craver were in a "heated" argument over one of the apartments at the complex before Collins pulled out a weapon, police wrote in an arrest-warrant affidavit. He fled on foot before officers arrived. Witnesses said that Collins, known as "Tall" or "Too Tall," often hangs out at the apartment complex where Craver was killed, according to the affidavit.On Sunday, a witness came to police and said they were at the scene of the shooting, where they heard gunshots and saw Collins holding a smoking gun, the affidavit said. The witness, who was not identified in the affidavit, picked Collins out of a photo lineup as the man they saw standing at the top of the staircase where Craver was shot.Lt.
