Man on Stolen Motorcycle Leads Trooper on Chase From Parker to Dallas County, Authorities Say

A man driving a stolen motorcycle led a trooper on a chase from Parker to Dallas County late Wednesday night, authorities said. The highway patrol trooper with the Texas Department of Public Safety tried to stop the man for a traffic violation about 10:45 p.m. on Interstate 20 near the Interstate 30 split, DPS spokesman Lonny Haschel said. But the man, 36-year-old Robert Dalton of Terrell, refused to stop and continued east on a Kawasaki motorcycle stolen out of Bedford, Haschel said. It's unclear if he stole the motorcycle. Dalton drove through Tarrant County and into Dallas County before stopping near Mountain Creek Parkway just before 11:15 p.m. He was taken into custody and transported back to the Parker County Jail on charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and evading arrest, as well as an active warrant out of Kaufman County for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.  Continue reading...
