Man Kills Elderly Mother, Then Turns Shotgun on Himself in Their North Richland Hills Home

A North Richland Hills man killed his 95-year-old mother and then himself this week in the living room of the home they shared.Authorities were called to the house in the 4800 block of Wedgeview Drive, near Bedford-Euless Road, around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. Beatrice Thomas, 95, and James Thomason, 61, were dead in the living room when they arrived.Both were killed by shotgun blasts to the head; Beatrice Thomas' death was ruled a homicide and her son's was ruled a suicide, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner's office.Property records show that the Thomasons have owned the house since it was built in 1963. James Thomason ran a business called Beajim Custom Designs from the home.Police have not released a motive for the killing.  Continue reading...
