Man Finds Body in Bed of His Pickup at Red Bird Area Motel, Dallas Police Say

A man looking down into the parking lot from his second-floor hotel room window Tuesday night spotted someone lying in the bed of his trunk who turned out to be dead, Dallas police said.The pickup's owner spotted the body around 7 p.m. in the parking lot of the Super 7 Inn in the 4200 block of Independence Trail in the Red Bird area of southern Dallas.The motel guest called police, who looked at surveillance video and determined the body had been in the back of the pickup at the time the driver pulled into the parking lot.The pickup's owner was taken to police headquarters for questioning.
