Man Charged With Murder in Wife's Death After Police Found Her Unconscious in Arlington Home

A man has been accused of killing his wife after police say the woman was found unconscious in a home in Arlington early Tuesday morning.Officers were called just before 6:45 a.m. to do a welfare check at an apartment unit in the 2500 block of Park Village Drive, where a caller said a man had assaulted a woman. When officers arrived, they found the woman in a bedroom.Her husband, 36-year-old Tareq Alkayyali, was arrested at the scene and taken to the Arlington jail, where he faces a murder charge.Police said investigators were still working to determine exactly what happened, but they believed there was a "physical disturbance" between the couple.The woman, whose name and age have not been released, died at a hospital.
