Man Charged With Murder After He Admits to Shooting 29-year-old in Uptown Dallas, Police Say

Dallas police have arrested a man in the death of a 29-year-old man who was fatally shot early Sunday morning in Uptown. Christopher Rommell McKinney, Jr., 23, was charged with murder in the death of Demondre Green. McKinney met with detectives Tuesday at police headquarters, where he admitted to shooting Green, police said.Police said in an arrest-warrant affidavit that Green and another man, who family identified as Green's brother, were in Green's car parked on the street in the 3000 block of Routh Street just before 2:15 a.m. Sunday.McKinney's vehicle was parked directly behind Green's, so Green didn't have enough room to get out of the parking space, police wrote in the affidavit.When Green tried to move his car, he hit McKinney's vehicle.
