Major League Lacrosse Eyes Dallas for Potential Team as Cowboys' Star Set to Host Championship Game

Midway through the Cowboys' preseason game against the Colts this Saturday in Arlington, two other teams will face off at the Cowboys' training center in Frisco.The Star's Ford Center will host Major League Lacrosse's title game between the reigning champion Denver Outlaws and the Ohio Machine. It's a rematch of last year's championship, which Denver won 19-18 in Atlanta.The decision to hold the game in Dallas is a sign that North Texas may be in line to get a team as early as the start of next season, which begins in April, said MLL Commissioner David Gross.“We have a horrible poker face,” he said. “Wherever we go play special events is where we’re looking at.”An expansion or relocation in Dallas would be a move toward bringing the game west, as seven of the league's nine teams are on the East Coast.
