Judge Shuts Down Shingle Mountain in Southern Dallas Until, at Least, Early April

Shingle Mountain is closed. For two weeks, at least.That's the good word out of the 191st Civil District Court. After a hearing Thursday afternoon, Judge Gena Slaughter signed the order that gave Dallas City Hall what it wants — a temporary restraining order that stops Blue Star Recycling from bringing more shingles onto their property off S. Central Expressway. I don't know if the mountain will shrink any between now and the April 3 hearing, when Slaughter will decide whether to extend the temporary restraining order.
