John Wiley Price Co-defendant Gets Separate Trial Over Concerns About Previous Immunity Agreement

Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price's co-defendant in a public corruption case will get a separate trial due to her claim that the government gave her an immunity agreement in a previous, unrelated corruption case. Kathy Nealy, Price's political consultant, will be tried after Price and his top assistant, Dapheny Fain. The trial for Price and Fain is scheduled to begin on Feb. 21. Nealy said in court filings that federal prosecutors gave her broad immunity before she testified in August 2009 for the government in the trial of former Dallas Mayor Pro Tem Don Hill, who was convicted along with several others.   Continue reading...
