ICE Locks Up ‘dreamer' Flight Attendant, a Texas A&M Grad, Who Worked Flight to Mexico

A flight attendant who grew up in Dallas is being held at an immigration center and faces deportation after she flew to Mexico for her job.Selene Saavedra Roman, 28, flew to Mexico in February from Houston after her employer, Mesa Airlines, told her she could safely travel abroad because she is a DACA recipient, The Points Guy travel website reported. Saavedra, who is also married to a U.S. citizen, was detained the same day after the return flight.Her husband, David Watkins, said he's worried about his wife's emotional state and whether the Peruvian native can become an American now. "She just sounded empty today, like completely empty," Watkins told The Points Guy. "Now I don't even know if she'll be allowed to have a job or become a citizen after this."  Continue reading...
