Frisco Cycling Track Known as Superdrome to Come Down to Make More Room for Growing Collin College

The Superdrome's days in Frisco are numbered, after the city and Collin College agreed to discontinue a management agreement for the cycling track."The decision will open the door for Collin College to repurpose the 5.5-acre site to accommodate growth occurring at its Preston Ridge Campus, where the Superdrome is located," according to a news release issued Friday afternoon by the city of Frisco and the college.The news devastated many cyclists, who use the outdoor oval track with 45-degree turns designed for high speed."Blindsided in LOSING a DFW SPORTS ICON!" one rider posted on Instagram. "I really am going to miss this place," reads another post from the user name rideslongandhard. "I can't believe it's being taken away from us the very year I got track certified and started training to race.
