Forest Hill Woman Dies After Shooting at Child's Birthday Party, Gunman Still at Large

A Forest Hill woman who was shot in the head at a child's birthday party earlier this month has died.Demetrice Casshay Stewart, 30, was protecting her daughter from a man who opened fire July 20 at a home in the 7300 block of Tradition Drive, near Forest Hill Drive, according to a GoFundMe page organized by her sister.Stewart died at John Peter Smith Hospital on Monday evening, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner's office.Another person was shot at the party, but his injuries weren't life-threatening, Forest Hill police said.Forest Hill police haven't made any arrests in the attack and haven't released a description of the gunman.
