Father Who Took Kids Along for Deadly Dallas Drive-by Gets 13 Years in Prison

A Crandall man who had his children in the car when he killed a woman in a drive-by shooting has been sentenced to 13 years in prison. Kedrick McDow, 22, was convicted of murder this month in the drive-by shooting of 32-year-old Marlese Arnett. She was shot on March 10, 2016, and died the next day. The getaway driver, 20-year-old Kiera Johnson, was sentenced to 7 1/2 years after pleading guilty to murder. Shortly before the shooting, McDow and Johnson had argued with Arnett's friend in a parking lot at 8300 La Prada Drive in Far East Dallas. Arnett and her friend drove away in a Chevrolet Impala, while McDow and Johnson followed in a Jeep. McDow's children were in the Jeep at the time, police records show.   Continue reading...
